About Lisa

At the heart of it all is a lifelong love of art, exploration, and the joy of making something meaningful from what she sees and experiences.

About Lisa

Lisa grew up in Michigan, surrounded by creativity and music, coming from a very musical family. From an early age, the arts were a constant presence in her life — she plays piano, sings, and has always found joy in creative expression. That artistic drive once led her to own a cake decorating business, where design, detail, and imagination were just as important as flavor.

Before digital photography, Lisa earned ribbons at her local fair for film photography, an early sign of the visual storyteller she would become. By trade, she is an accountant - a creative analytic who discovered photography as a refreshing and expressive outlet from the structure and demands of her work life.

Lisa’s dedication to photography and the arts is reflected not only in her work, but also in her leadership and service within the creative community

Wickenburg Art Center & Gallery

After relocating to Arizona, Lisa continued her commitment to the arts through leadership roles with the Wickenburg Art Club and Art Center serving two years as Treasurer and one year as Vice President. Her background as an accountant uniquely complements her creative leadership, allowing her to contribute both artistically and organizationally.

Lisa’s journey has taken her all over the Southeast and Southwest, exploring extensively with her camera and finding inspiration in each new place. Now based in Arizona, she is increasingly drawn to Southwest and Western genres, making frequent use of her National Parks Pass as she continues to chase light, landscapes, and new perspectives.

Looking ahead, Lisa plans to expand her creative practice into additional mediums, including digital art built entirely from elements she creates herself. At the heart of it all is a lifelong love of art, exploration, and the joy of making something meaningful from what she sees and experiences.

"I chase light and shadows, always searching for movement, drama, expression, and moments of stillness that feel both fleeting and timeless."
